Bio
Tim Kozusko is a native of Cocoa Beach and lifelong barrier island resident. Educated locally, he has an M.S. in biology from the University of Central Florida and is currently a doctoral student at FIT in science education, interested in the public perception of what constitutes science. His masters thesis was written on the Limnology of ponds in the Kissimmee Prairie, working there from 1996 through 1998. He is employed by United Space Alliance at Kennedy Space Center and resides in Melbourne Beach with wife Laura.
He is a member of the American Society of Limnology and Oceanography, Florida Academy of Sciences, Indian River Anthropological Society, Native Plant Society, Society of Wetland Scientists, Surfrider Foundation, and the Union of Concerned Scientists. In May 2007 he was honored to receive Keep Brevard Beautiful’s Education Award for community service.
