Summer

By summer the rains have brought water levels up on the prairie and flowers are everywhere, demonstrating how Florida got its name. In the middle of the day temperatures are best described as brutal but there is a lot of animal activity in the early mornings.

Slough

In most years water is abundant in summer.

Juneflowers

The summer rains have fueled a profusion of flowers.

Morningwebs

Spiders are everywhere, and in the mornings dew betrays the locations of their webs.

ZebraJune

Butterflies are everywhere as well.
