Autumn

Autumn on the prairie is marked by the yellows of goldenrod and goldentops, and the fluffy seeds of the groundsel bush and the broomsedge grasses. There are still a few purples of the blazing star, but mostly their flowers have been replaced by seeds.

BirdsWaders

In Autumn water levels begin to fall as the summer rains end and wading birds flock to the concentrated fish in shrinking ponds.
